Lupp + Partner beriet die Verlegerfamilie Herder rechtlich beim Erwerb der Mehrheit an der Buchhandelsgruppe Thalia von Advent International und der Familie Kreke. Advent hatte die Mehrheit an Thalia 2012 als Teil der damaligen Douglas Holding AG erworben. Die Familie Kreke bleibt auch künftig an Thalia beteiligt neben dem Digitalunternehmer Leif Göritz und dem geschäftsführenden Gesellschafter Michael Busch. Lupp + Partner advises the Herder Family on the acquisition of the Thalia Group from Advent

Lupp + Partner acted as legal advisors for the Herder Family regarding the acquisition of the majority of the bookselling group Thalia from Advent International and the Kreke family. Advent had acquired a majority in Thalia as part of the former Douglas Holding AG in 2012. Family Kreke remains shareholder in Thalia. Further minority shareholders are the digital entrepreneur Leif Göritz as well as the CEO of Thalia, Michael Busch. The parties agreed not to disclose the value of the transaction.
